Tietoevry Tech Services is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Data Engineer to join our Data & AI team. You can be a Data Engineer with few years of work experience or a more seasoned professional with long history in data domain. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that enable our clients to make informed business decisions.

We at Tietoevry Tech Services design, build and operate modern cloud-based data management solutions for our valued customers - from source data to data driven tools & applications.

We work with modern data related technologies in cloud space including such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark and MS Fabric. We are valuable partners with Microsoft and other major BI vendors giving us a great opportunity to learn, grow and apply those technologies in our customer deliveries. We are taking care about data solutions for biggest Nordic companies to help them better understand their customer needs and improve their business.

In this role you will:

• Design, build, and optimize high-volume batch and real-time data pipelines

• Develop and maintain data lake infrastructure, data warehousing, data platforms and data analytic tools

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity

• Implement data quality, governance and security measures.

• Provide data insights and support to business intelligence (BI) teams

• Develop data visualizations to help our customers get the most out of their data

• For a more senior data engineer, in addition to your long and proven track record as data engineer, we look for a person who is able to share knowledge and help more junior colleagues in their professional growth or support our account teams and their customers in data business development.

Skills and experience we are looking for our new colleague:

• Work experience in data engineer role: +3 years

• Fluency in both Finnish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working in modern cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Solid understanding of data lake infrastructure, data modelling, data warehousing, databases (SQL/NoSQL) and ETL/ELT

• Solid programming skills (for example Python, R or Java)

• Proven hands-on experience in building high-volume batch and real-time data pipelines

• Hands on experience with modern data platforms, such as MS Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of team in customer interface or individually as subject matter expert

• Experience in data analytics and data visualization tools is highly valuable

• Interest for self-development, keeping up with new possibilities and technologies available to help our customers to reach their data goals and beyond. For example, utilizing AI based new and emerging solutions

This position is based in Finland, with most customers operating typically from the capital area
