Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with expertise in firewalls, routing, and switching to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Bonus points for experience in AWS networking and network automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructures.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance and security.
• Administer and optimize Cisco Umbrella for cloud-based security and threat protection.
• Implement and manage Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement.
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
• Utilize automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) to improve network efficiency and reliability.
• Support and integrate AWS networking components such as VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and security groups.
• Maintain weekly syncs with our Cybersecurity Architecture team to keep the teams informed of incoming work and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on firewall and routing technologies.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking (routers, switches, and firewalls).
• Experience with Cisco Umbrella for cloud security solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco ISE for network access control.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and ACLs.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent) are a bonus, but work experience and demonstrated expertise are paramount.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$106,610 - $152,300 - $197,990

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
