NOVOS FiBER, a leading provider of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) internet services, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with a specialization in IP Engineering. This role is critical to the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cutting-edge broadband infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our optical and IP networks, working with leading technologies to drive the future of fiber connectivity.
Position Summary
As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in managing optical transmission systems, IP routing and switching, and Wi-Fi solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Internet connections, network capacity planning, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring our broadband platform operates at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Infrastructure Development & Maintenance
- o Design, implement, and maintain optical transport systems, IP routing and switching infrastructure, and Wi-Fi solutions.
- o Manage and configure IP routing, switching equipment, and internet services to ensure network stability and security.
- o Plan and execute network expansions, upgrades, and capacity planning to support business growth.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- o Continuously monitor network performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- o Implement best practices for network reliability, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
- o Conduct acceptance testing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting & Vendor Collaboration
- o Diagnose and resolve complex network issues reported by customers and internal teams.
- o Work closely with equipment vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and implement solutions.
- o Provide corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain high network uptime.
- Documentation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- o Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, inventory, and documentation.
- o Develop and distribute network design, deployment, and maintenance standards.
- o Create technical documentation and training materials for internal teams.
- o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Experience & Technical Skills
- o Minimum 3 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining networks in an ISP environment.
- o Strong expertise in IP routing and switching technologies, protocols, and standards.
- o Hands-on experience with routers and switches from leading vendors, preferably Nokia.
- o Familiarity with optical networking technologies, network automation, and Wi-Fi routing solutions.

- o Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- o Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Availability & Work Location
- o On-site presence required at NOVOS FiBER’s Coppell, TX office five days per week.
- o Availability for occasional night/weekend on-call rotations to address critical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages.
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS configurations.
- Understanding of IPv4, IPv6 and CGNAT deployment strategies.
- Certifications such as Nokia NRS, CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Visual acuity and ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
