Job Description
Position Summary
The Network Analyst is responsible for supporting campus networks, network switches, VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) configurations, and Wi-Fi systems. This role is field-intensive, meaning the majority of time will be spent on-site, directly interacting with network infrastructure and resolving issues across various campus buildings. This role is central to ensuring the reliability and performance of the Aspen One network. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity and Network.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $75,000- $105,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize campus network infrastructure (wired and wireless)
- Configure and troubleshoot switches and access points
- Design and implement VLANs for network segmentation
- Oversee and troubleshoot campus-wide Wi-Fi installations
- Monitor network systems to detect and resolve performance issues
- Use diagnostic tools to address network connectivity problems
- Provide first-line support for network incidents and escalate as needed
- Coordinate with IT teams for on-site support and issue resolution
- Maintain documentation for network configurations and troubleshooting
- React quickly to outages and provide solutions in adverse weather
- Monitor network bandwidth, outages, and throughput
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure network security
- Research and recommend network infrastructure optimizations
- Review and improve configurations, guidelines, and policies
- Assist in developing documents, diagrams, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with campus networks, VLANs, and Wi-Fi technologies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), etc.) and network management tools
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or similar network hardware and software
- Familiarity with wireless technologies (802.11, Wi-Fi 6, etc.) and network design principles for large-scale deployments
- Hands-on experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing switches and access points.
- Ability to analyze and resolve network performance issues efficiently
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple on-site projects and tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including those on-site
- Ability to lift and carry network equipment (if necessary) and perform physical installations
- Industry certifications such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) Network+, or similar certifications
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work within a team, often with guidance from security or project leads
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours network support

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
- Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
