A Brief Overview
A Risk Management Associate Analyst is responsible for collaborating with business areas of the company to assist with identifying and assessing risk and aiding with the oversight to the administration of the risk management program. The Associate Analyst will ensure that the areas adhere to an established reporting time frame. The Associate Analyst will perform model risk and risk assessment reviews.
What you will do
- Collaborate with various functional areas of the company to assist with identifying and assessing risk in accordance with established company methodology
- Aid with ongoing oversight to the administration of the risk management program and ensuring functional areas adhere to established reporting time frames
- Perform annual model risk and risk assessment reviews
- Answer phone calls and assist markets, FBSS departments, and FHC departments with risk management related questions.
- Monitor and identify improvements for the risk management program and software platform
- Facilitate enterprise risk initiatives and assist with ensuring consistency in risk management practices and terminology throughout the organization
- Analyze common risks among different functional areas to ensure an enterprise view of overall risk may be achieved
- Review enterprise wide risk reporting relative to established risk thresholds
- Implement an independent risk management testing program across the organization
- Maintain training materials related to risk management and conducting periodic training for company personnel
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
Minimum Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field.
- A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 3 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor degree in business, math, analytics or similar fields of study
- Certifications in one or more risk management fields (Audit, Compliance, Credit, Fraud/Anti-money Laundering, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of company operations and processes
- Knowledge of risk management principles and practices
- General understanding of audit and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal working skills
- Understanding of project management and ability to manage projects
- Computer and application platform utilization skills
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
- Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
- Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
- Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- FirstBank does not currently offer fully remote positions, except as required by law. The actual number of in-office days that may be required will vary by business unit, role, and business need.
Salary Range
$29.95 Per Hour to $45.00 Per Hour
