About the Role:
The NetSuite Developer designs, implements, and maintains customized NetSuite solutions, optimizing the NetSuite platform. This role will streamline business workflows, customize configurations, create dashboards, implement modules, create custom forms, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to end users. This position ensures the system aligns with best practices and company processes and effectively supports business needs. This position requires strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of NetSuite functionality.
Accountable For:
The NetSuite Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of complex systems, maintenance and monitoring of systems, collaboration with other business groups, manage data security measures, and keeping systems up to date through innovation.
Responsibilities

System configuration and customization: Adjust NetSuite settings, implement and maintain NetSuite modules, create custom fields, forms, workflows, and record types to match specific business requirements using scripting as necessary.

User role management: Act as a backup for user access levels and permissions within NetSuite to control data visibility and security.

Dashboard creation: Design user-friendly dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.

Data management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the NetSuite system.

Troubleshooting and support: Identify and resolve system issues, providing technical assistance to end users.

System updates and upgrades: Implement NetSuite updates and manage system changes while minimizing disruption. Implement and support various NetSuite modules, including but not limited to Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Procurement, Fixed Assets Management, Warehouse Management and Smart Count.

Training and documentation: Develop user guides and training materials to educate employees on NetSuite functionalities. Support UAT efforts with business partners.

Business process improvement: Analyze existing workflows and suggest enhancements to optimize NetSuite usage. Create new workflows based on business requirements using NetSuite Approvals Workflow and/or Purchase Order Workflow.

Reporting and analysis: Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights for decision-making.

Project work: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications, working with other groups within the organization capturing proper details in support of department projects and/or assisting with issues.

Support data integrations with other business platforms both on prem and SaaS based. Experience with Boomi a plus.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT personnel and helpdesk staff. Be a trusted resource for NetSuite best practices.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, security concerns and technologies to ensure our systems are cutting-edge.

Support SOX ITGC data requests and enhancements as needed

Must be available for on-call and provide technical support for systems related issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient in NetSuite functionality: Comprehensive knowledge of the following NetSuite modules: Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Procurement, Fixed Assets Management, Warehouse Management, Smart Count SuiteApp, and core Financials.

Ability to create custom reports and dashboards in NetSuite, experience with PowerBI a plus.

Experience with Approvals Workflow and Purchase Order Approvals Workflow required.

Technical skills: Understanding of basic system administration concepts, data manipulation, form creation, and customization options. Proficiency with NetSuite scripting required.

Experience implementing NetSuite modules required. Solid understanding of financial concepts required.

Experience integrating NetSuite with other applications (i.e. Salesforce, Concur) using Boomi a plus.

NetSuite certifications preferred.

Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley strongly preferred.

Analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and troubleshoot complex problems.

Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with users and stakeholders effectively and strong collaboration skills.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement changes efficiently.

Attention to detail: High level of accuracy when managing data and system configurations.

Understanding of cybersecurity framework and/or certification

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering required.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in NetSuite development/consulting or related role

Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
