Job Description
Project - the aim you'll have:
Our client is a leading Managed Service Provider supporting public institutions and the banking sector in the Netherlands. As part of our collaboration with one of their key clients – an insurance institution – we are building a dedicated maintenance team.
The team, composed of both Polish and Dutch specialists, is responsible for managing and developing a cloud environment based on the Azure platform. We are currently looking for a DB2 support specialist to join the team.
Position - how you'll contribute:
- SME is responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for LUW DB2
- Manage L2/L3 production/project support activities.
- This also includes the initial installation or update, patching, migration for these platforms
- Responsible for script development/ update in different scripting (Shell and Perl).
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools.
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team members.
- Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends.
- Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Expectations - the experience you need:
- Extensive experience as a DB2 Database Administrator, preferably with DB2 version 11.1 or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based database environments and Azure hosting.
- Proven experience in:
- Upgrading and patching DB2.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Configuration and disaster recovery management.
- Running SQL queries and scripts for functional and operational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including developers, users, and delivery managers.
- Familiarity with database security best practices, including access control implementation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
