To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.
- Provides leadership to mortgage loan officers and loan coordinators through coaching, training, and check-ins
- Meets with employees on a regular basis to monitor continuous improvements; this includes pipeline management weekly or bi-weekly
- Reviews member surveys monthly and gives accolades for positive feedback and suggest ways to improve constructive feedback while maintaining a high NPS and Service Scores and suggests ways to improve via constructive feedback. Focus on maintaining high NPS and Service Scores
- Works with loan officers and loan coordinators to consistently follow the MACU Way: bringing out the best in each other, honesty and integrity, accountability, mutual trust and respect, speed and focus, and continuous improvement and innovation
- Manages loan coordinator pipelines and ensures the team has effective load balancing
- Assists loan officers in the review of challenging files and helps to identify best mortgage option
- Possesses strong knowledge of conventional, FHA and VA guidelines.
- Helps loan officers develop market share growth strategies and business relationships within their communities to increase production
- Participates in monthly marketing activities with loan officers, including builder, Realtor, and chamber associations, and branch events
- Assists in setting department and individual goals with sales employees
- Analyzes loan officers and loan coordinators key successes and key opportunities for improvement; establishes goals yearly related to key opportunities
- Analyzes monthly reports (LO and LC report card) to monitor productivity levels, pull through ratios, tolerances, and file quality
- Ensures sales team is compliant by following guidelines of RESPA, TILA, HMDA,
- Resolves member related issues in a timely and profession manner; works with loan officer and loan coordinator to ensure issues are resolved and member is satisfied
- Works with loan officers to win the business in competitive situations, i.e. interest rate, lender fees
- Meets bi-weekly with AVP and other sales managers to discuss current and future state of business
- Assists in managing the Mortgage Call Center (Finesse) to ensure member service and wait times are in line with department goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience
- 5 plus years professional experience in a progressive financial setting, working in a mortgage lending setting
- Management experience preferred
Education
Associates degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, finance, economics or related field. Education will be verified. OR three additional years combined with experience years in a progressive mortgage lending setting.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
NMLS license required
Managerial Responsibility
Manages a team of 15-18 loan officers and loan coordinators
Computer/Office Equipment Skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with analytical and reporting software preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Symitar.
- Finesse and CRM experience preferred.
Language Skills
- Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
- Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.

- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with strong organizing and time management skills and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and timelines

- Take initiative to be a problem solver and provide suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies.

- Data analytics and data validation skills and proficiency in business data analysis (MS Excel, etc.)
- Ability to lead and direct change and create buy-in with the team
