About the Role
We are looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager to lead our mobile development team in building world-class applications. You will oversee the team’s technical and people management aspects, ensuring smooth operations, high performance, and the delivery of high-quality mobile apps.
This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in iOS and/or Android development, strong people management skills, and a strategic mindset to scale and optimize our mobile engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Growth: Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing mobile engineering team. Support career development and create an environment of continuous learning.
- Product & Technical Delivery: Guide the team in achieving key milestones while ensuring high code quality, app performance, and reliability.
- Development & Automation: Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and efficient development workflows.
- Scrum & Agile Management: Lead Scrum ceremonies, optimize sprint planning, and align development with product goals.
- Architecture & Best Practices: Maintain a scalable, maintainable, and well-documented mobile architecture for both iOS and Android.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with the Product Manager to refine product vision, roadmap, and priorities. Ensure consistency between iOS and Android platforms.
- Hiring & Staffing: Identify team needs, attract top mobile engineering talent, and onboard new hires effectively.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Mobile Development Expertise: Strong background in Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift), with a preference for experience in both platforms.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading and managing mobile engineering teams, driving performance, and mentoring engineers.
- People Management: Strong ability to coach, support, and develop engineers in their careers.
- Agile & Scrum Experience: Hands-on experience in Scrum methodologies, with a track record of leading Agile teams.
- Technical Excellence: Solid understanding of mobile architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Automation & CI/CD (nice to have): Experience in setting up and optimizing mobile automation pipelines.
