The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world class Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team located in either Renton, WA or Seattle, WA.
The primary role of this position will be to prepare and submit all Environmental compliance reports for Boeing facilities operated by the 737 Commercial Airplanes program. The position requires the ability to develop expertise with various internal and external computer systems to compile data from multiple sources and integrate it into the appropriate format for submittal to regulatory agencies. On-site verification of data and follow-up with personnel in operating areas is required to validate the information provided in the reports as well as assist with resolution of any identified issues.
This is a SPEEA-represented position which will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
Position Responsibilities:

Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations

Develops, implements and monitors environmental management systems, processes and programs

Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher
-
3+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental program management
-
3+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and/or environmental reporting

3+ years of experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or environmental management

Experience with various computer systems to compile data from multiple sources and integrate it into the appropriate format for submittal to regulatory agencies

Experience with environmental compliance and regulations

Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950
