JOB SCOPE
Responsible for providing direction and leadership to the Release and Fallout Management team. This team is responsible for the release and defect tracking for all Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) across the Charter footprint. Responsible for coordinating, tracking, and reporting on numerous product launches, over 30 million CPE upgrades per year, over 200 platform upgrades per year, and all defects associated with CPE. This team is fast paced, highly visible, and crucial to the overall success of the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all technical operations at the system level to maintain the integrity of the cable plant and assure quality and consistency of voice, video, and data to customers.
- Provide technical support and direction to field locations regarding new or existing technologies, operational standards, and staff development; and provide technical support to the regional office as needed.
- Coordinate preparation of the capital and operating budget process and monitor activity throughout the year to ensure capital and operating expenses are controlled according to the budgeted plan to meet or exceed annual cash flow, including negotiating with contractors and vendors to achieve bids within budget.
- Monitor current procedures and tests performed in accordance with FCC standards to insure compliance with FCC standards.
- Monitor and review system material management procedures, inventory control, safety-training program and security to insure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Maintain records as required by system, regional, and corporate offices, the FCC, and other government agencies.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- NCTI Advanced Technical Certification or equivalent
- System engineering experience - 6+
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the pinning systems concepts and the system/super-system skills including the business and technological environment
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the systems lifecycle from need identification, requirements through to operation and ultimately disposal
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of choosing the appropriate lifecycle and the planning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering process
- Effective ability to transform an operational need into a description of system parameters and incorporate those parameters in the control of the total system development to achieve an optimum, cost-effective balance of all system elements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- FCC General Telephone/Telegraph license or equivalent
- SCTE Certification or equivalent
- Management or leadership experience - 2+

The base pay for this position generally is between
$98,900.00 and $175,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
