We are looking for Mechanical Engineer, to be based in Bengaluru (Bangalore),Karnataka who will participate in design, development and documentation of vacuum valve hardware for isolation and pressure control. The position requires knowledge of mechanical hardware design and ability to build and test prototypes. Experience with vacuum systems and actuators is a plus.
You have knowledge and experience in product hardware engineering, which may include product specification, conceptual and detail design, thermal and mechanical analysis and simulation, design for cost & manufacturability, documentation, test plan development and release to production. The position requires the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
Role Details:
- Assist with the design, documentation, build and test of vacuum isolation and pressure control valves, including machined and welded mechanical components, static and dynamic elastomer seals, and rotary and linear mechanical, pneumatic and electrical actuators.
- Proficient with the use of CAD software for creation of 3D designs and 2D drawing packages. Both Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks are preferred tools.
- Creation of effective and practical geometric dimensioning and tolerancing schemes for design documentation.
- Select materials and design features based on analysis of specifications, performance, reliability, and manufacturability, work with part fabricators and commercial part suppliers.
- Basic understanding of the metals and engineering plastics fabrication, including molding, machining and welding.
- Prepare and conduct technical meetings/presentations. Communicate technical information effectively in both oral and written form.
Education and Experience:
- Btech, Mtech in Mechanical Engineering with 0-5 years of experience. Recent grads with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Vacuum sealing design and linear/rotary actuator experience is a plus.
