Job Profile Summary
Provides technical support for measurement system applications and other related systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II measurement support, troubleshooting FlowCal and TESTit to resolve imbalances, system discrepancies, and data validation issues.
- Act as a liaison between Field Technicians (Tier I) and Measurement Engineers (Tier III) to ensure efficient problem resolution.
- Analyze and validate measurement data, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with field teams to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, offering guidance on best practices.
- Manage and execute system testing, quality assurance reviews, and data integrity audits to support operational efficiency.
- Support month-end close by ensuring measurement accuracy and system reliability.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and process workflows for measurement systems.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or other related field with previous job-related experience as follows:
Work Experience
- Experience in the use of measurement software applications, such as PGAS, TESTit, and FlowCal
- Experience and strong understanding of measurement data analysis, volume balancing, and industry standards.
- Experience and/or training related to:
- Electronic data handling applications
- Measurement process analysis functions
- Word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications such as Word, Excel, and Access.
- Database structure and measurement system interface with ERP
- Use of Discoverer for queries and report generation
- Communications/interpersonal skills
- Experience reading and interpreting vendor communications, contracts, reports, technical manuals and publications, and correspondence
- Experience compiling and generating various types of reports pertaining to measurement data, system performance, training materials, etc
- Experience interacting, advising, training and communicating effectively
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skills in: measurement systems such as editing, importing, and exporting of data
- Knowledge of: field operations and gas measurement methods
- Knowledge of: plant processing and extraction facilities and physical properties of natural gas
- Knowledge of: data acquisition systems used to poll secondary measurement devices
- Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas used in spreadsheet applications
- Ability to: develop information and make presentations to individuals and groups
- Ability to: communicate and exchange verbal information and instructions; conduct oral presentations
