Job Description

Job Purpose

As part of the Gameloft Creative Agency, the Video Artist will create engaging video content for marketing and user acquisition. This includes game trailers, video ads, and promotional materials across platforms like Google Play, App Store, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and more.

They will also design and modify 3D scenes, models, and animations to match each game's unique visual and communication style, aiming to captivate users and drive downloads

Job Responsibilities:

Production

• Produce high-quality video content to attract and engage users.
• Own the entire video production process, from concept to final delivery.
• Create/modify 3D scenes, models, and animations for promotional use.
• Capture compelling in-game footage from the engine or game build.
• Optimize videos for various platforms, managing compression, encoding, and formatting.
• Enhance video quality with sound effects, music, text, and graphics.

Communication

• Implement feedback from internal teams, licensors, and stakeholders promptly.
• Adapt to input from marketing, legal, and licensing teams to ensure alignment.
• Contribute creative ideas in meetings and shape video content direction.

Consistency & Guidelines

• Follow artistic, IP, and licensing guidelines.
• Maintain brand consistency across all video materials.

Organization & Reporting

• Manage a video asset library for easy access and future use.
• Track video performance and provide insights for optimization.

+ Innovation

• Use creativity and innovation to propose new ideas and formats to elevate video production.
• Offer creative suggestions for video projects, focusing on visual storytelling, pacing, and overall design.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to integrate them into video editing workflows.
• Keep up with trends in gaming and video platforms, applying relevant innovations to content creation.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Creative and innovative, with a strong eye for detail.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in motion design, video editing, and Adobe software (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Experienced in 3D software (Blender, 3DS Max, Maya) and animation.
• Able to manage the full creative process independently.
• Adaptable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn game-engine content manipulation. Portfolio/demo reel required.

Pluses:

• Passion and experience working in video games;
• Previous experience in 3D application (3dsmax, Blender, Maya, etc) – please share portfolio if available.
• Previous experience with Unreal Engine and / or Unity Engine – please share portfolio if available. 
• 2D skills/experience.
