The Wind Project Manager is responsible for defining project scope, conducting tests, providing customer support, ensuring compliance with UL requirements, and supervising staff. The role also includes developing test methods, coordinating activities, resolving engineering issues, and representing the company at industry events while adhering to safety and security practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently define project scope, develop investigation plans, and determine project specifications (cost, time, sample requirements) based on customer input, data analysis, and product construction.
  • Conduct or witness customer-site tests and maintain customer communication to promote services.
  • Address customer inquiries, technical issues, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution of complex issues.
  • Provide technical support for product inspections, testing, and follow-up services.
  • Develop and implement test programs, review documentation, examine samples, and ensure compliance with UL requirements.
  • Identify on-compliance issues and notify customer of any scope or specification changes.
  • Coordinate laboratory activities, prepare data sheets, and manage completion schedules.
  • Handles administrative project management duties and serve as Project Handler or Reviewer as assigned.
  • Report project status and results to customers, preparing necessary documentation.
  • Develop Follow-Up Service Procedures and integrate continuous improvement practices.
  • Analyze and resolve complex engineering issues, including Variation Notices.
  • Create UL testing requirements for innovative or unique product features.
  • Develop specialized test methods and equipment, and perform file reviews.
  • Represent UL Solutions in technical committees, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Provide guidance as a Primary or Designated Engineer for specific product categories.
  • Supervise and mentor assigned staff and entry-level engineers.
  • Deliver technical support across various product categories and operational areas.
  • Comply with the UL Code of Conduct and uphold physical and digital security practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree with 10+ years of professional work experience. University Degree in Renewable, Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Physics or Meteorological Science.
  • Fluent in English communication and be able to write academic report.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Renewable Energy industry in APAC.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering and construction project.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical due diligence in Renewable Energy Industry.
  • Diverse background and experience working with lenders, developers, investor and contractor in Renewable Energy Industry.
