The Marketing Operations Manager, reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations and Demand Generation, plays a crucial role in the Marketing Communications team by optimizing our diverse martech stack and reporting. This person will oversee and optimize multiple marketing tools, including Marketo, Demandbase, Salesforce, and others. This position is an individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include negotiating with vendors and maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring high data quality, maintaining Salesforce dashboards, identifying trends in data, assisting the demand generation team in making data-driven decisions, and analyzing current workflows for areas to automate. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining data cleanliness to ensure the integrity and reliability of our marketing data. This role also involves support of day-to-day marketing operations. Additionally, in the first 6-9 months this role is expected to:
- Increase the volume of meetings using automation flows to support the Demand Generation team.
- Regularly plan, execute, and optimize campaign flows to accelerate the qualification of warm leads every month.
- Identify areas of improvement in the Martech stack.
- Help with data management in Salesforce.com and its integration into Marketing Automation Platforms (Marketo and Demandbase).
About You
- You have 4+ years of experience working in a similar marketing operations role, collaborating with Demand Generation teams.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or technical field like Marketing, Management, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- You are operationally and analytically minded, with experience working on a marketing or operations team, an understanding of marketing operations, and familiarity with Salesforce and marketing automation tools.
- You are a quick learner: you are passionate about new technologies, proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, or willing to learn and adopt new tools to drive efficiencies and improve performance.
- You are highly organized and a strong planner: You have excellent organizational, project management, and execution skills, allowing you to prioritize requests effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
- You are analytical: You have experience examining quantitative data, drawing insightful conclusions, and reporting findings in an easily understandable and actionable way.
- You are a sharer of best practices: You enjoy identifying winning strategies—whether by reading industry publications or running tests—and sharing them with others.
- You are customer-centric: You approach your work with an emphasis on understanding customers and delivering value.
- You are an effective communicator: You can clearly present and communicate findings from analysis and results to stakeholders to help drive business decisions.
- You are creative: You generate new and innovative approaches to data management, workflow building, reporting, conversions, and more.
