Your Role
Gensler’s Toronto office seeks a creative storyteller for our marketing & communication efforts. Ideal candidates have a passion for design and view communications as a people-centered activity. Marketing & Communications Coordinators produce materials that support Gensler’s business development and promotional efforts. They work under the direction of senior staff and marketing and PR leaders to write, design, and produce proposals, presentations, and other material used to help the firm win work, as well as support media outreach, events, speaking engagements, awards submissions, and other PR functions for the office.

What You Will Do
Marketing

Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards

Participate in pursuit strategy and planning

Develop new materials as needed to support business development activities

Perform multiple marketing efforts under rapid and frequent deadlines

Understand and learn Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and capabilities

Maintain resources & information systems

Develop and craft case stories, resumes, project text for website, and other written marketing/PR collateral

Work closely with other marketing team members to complete special projects, elevate the quality of our efforts, and plan office events

Support photography coordination and documentation
Public Relations

Develop media pitches, key messaging, and briefing documents to garner coverage and inform spokespeople

Create social media calendar and craft social media postings to align with local and firmwide messaging

Track media mentions, speaking engagements, and trending news themes

Work with thought leaders to develop blog post narratives and speaking engagement abstracts

Create compelling content with key messaging, presentations for speaking engagements, content for brand publications, website content, and award submissions
Your Qualifications
-
3+ years of professional experience in a marketing position with a design or professional services firm. AEC industry experience is a must
-
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business, Communications, or Marketing (or other related field)

Ability to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to “make it happen” and create workarounds where needed

Creative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective presentations and marketing collateral

Communications: Excellent communication, writing, editing, conceptual design skills

Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills, and a great collaborator

Mastery of InDesign is a must; proficiency in Photoshop / Illustrator and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; knowledge of Google Slides, Keynote, and Miro are a plus

Experience with photography or video creation a plus
