Your Impact 

Anaplan is looking for a Marketing Budget Program Manager to join our team based out of our Minneapolis, MN office. As a key member of the Marketing Operations team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. You will partner closely with Marketing, Finance, and GTM leadership to develop budget frameworks, track spend and deliver actionable insights that drive efficiency and ROI across all marketing initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity for a data-driven professional passionate about using technology to streamline financial processes. 

You will take ownership of marketing budget management, collaborating across teams to forecast spend, analyze variances, and provide strategic recommendations. Your ability to build and optimize Anaplan models will ensure the Marketing team operates within budget while maximizing the impact of every dollar invested. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Anaplan Model Development: Design, build, and maintain Anaplan models to support budget planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for Marketing initiatives.
  • Budget Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop dynamic budget models that align with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Spend Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and track budget allocations, spend, and accruals across marketing programs using Anaplan, ensuring real-time visibility.
  • Financial Analysis and Insights: Provide in-depth analysis of marketing performance, offering insights on spend efficiency, ROI, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Finance: Partner with Finance to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual budget forecasts, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline budget management, reporting, and approval workflows using automation and advanced modeling techniques.
  • Trusted Partner Collaboration: Build strong relationships across Marketing, Sales, Procurement and Finance teams, establishing yourself as a trusted partner by delivering actionable insights, aligning budgets with GTM strategies, and providing technical support for financial planning tools. 

 Your Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should bring: 

  • Experience: 2+ years in marketing finance, budgeting, or marketing operations roles, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience building and managing data models, with a strong understanding of multi-dimensional modeling and scenario planning.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of budgeting principles, financial planning, and expense tracking, with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Data and Analytics: Advanced analytical skills, ideally proficiency in, Anaplan, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of accuracy in managing financial data and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Growth Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and bringing innovative solutions to the table.

 Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms and campaign performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for financial workflows.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
