Job Title: Marketing and Trade Planner, Dermatological Skincare

Position Summary:
The Marketing and Trade Planner is responsible for executing projects and supporting the Business Unit Head, Dermatological Skincare, to achieve financial and strategic objectives. This position reports to the Business Unit Head with a dotted line to the brand and sales teams. The role involves tactical sales and marketing program execution, as well as monitoring and reporting on results
- Leveraging creative, analytical, and planning skills
- Proficiency in project management, budget management, and Excel/PowerPoint.
- Managing retail displays from inception to creation and execution of retail secondary displays
Essential Functions:
- Act as the primary conduit between Sales, Retail Team, and internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Finance)
- Coordinate and facilitate information flow between Sales, Retail Sales Rep Team, and Marketing throughout the Business Planning Process
- Communicate Sales Huddle documents to the Leadership Team on a weekly basis
- Assist finance in managing the trade spend tracker and oversee weekly updates with the sales team
- Serve as the Sales and Marketing accountable for the Demand Planning Process, providing appropriate input (Key Customer Display, incremental distribution, and Promotional Activity)
- Develop and implement exit and run-down strategies, manage customer allocations, and oversee slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Own the Sales & Marketing input into the Internal Planning Process, including new product recommendations and communication
- Assist Marketing with feedback and sales strategies for the creation and development of Brand/New Product Launch trade decks
- Communicate Trade Decks and Sales releases, including product launch information, specs, display programs, ad mats, samples, and must-stock lists. This includes coordinating artwork creation for displays, coupons, marketing materials, and ad mats with agencies
- Prepare tracking and feedback documents, provide pipeline targets, must-stock lists, listing costs, and coordinate display menus
- Oversee the Display Program Process from a Sales perspective, including the development of display menus, tracking display forecasts, and monitoring sell-through
- Lead the weekly display status meetings and manage slow-moving display inventory
- Track performance of specific promotional activities in banners (e.g., displays and other promotional activities)
- Collaborate with the Category Development Advisor on category/plan-o-gram reviews, trade deck assistance, and business reporting/scorecards
- Assist Brand Leads with timely inputs and tracking of the Advertising & Promotion budget.
- Work with the Promotional Review Committee (PRC) to approve promotional materials and develop claims that align with brand strategy
Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in CPG Marketing, with prior experience in marketing project leadership within a cross-functional environment
- Sales or Sales Administration or Marketing Administration experience an assets
- Proven ability to market products to drive revenue, including developing product positioning, consumer promotions, and executing tactics according to plan
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for effective interaction with senior management, agency partners, retailers, sales teams, and internal marketing teams
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Expertise in project management, highly organized, proficient in data analysis, and capable of managing the tactical and administrative needs of the marketing function Project Management – PMP or similar education preferred/asset
- Solution-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset to independently complete tasks and drive results.
- Must possess a can-do attitude, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop internal relationships, demonstrate a team-building attitude, and gain cross-functional and peer cooperation
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
