Job Summary:

The Market Development Representative - IDD is responsible for driving organic growth across all distribution channels within the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) sector in the Indiana region. As a field-based, sales-forward role, you'll be at the forefront of expanding our presence and building lasting relationships within the Indiana IDD community. 

In this dynamic role, you’ll leverage your expertise to independently execute key responsibilities with minimal supervision, while actively contributing to the growth and success of our Field Sales function. Candidates should be located in Indiana, preferably within the Central Indiana area. While the position offers remote or work-from-home flexibility, the role requires regular travel to branches throughout the market on a weekly basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships by building and nurturing relationships with IDD service providers, referral sources, and healthcare professionals to generate new business opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively identifying and targeting IDD specific agencies and organizations within the assigned market.
  • Conduct market research, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events to expand the client base.
  • Provide a consultative sales approach to understand the specific needs of clients and provide tailored solutions. This includes educating clients and referral sources about the benefits of home healthcare services and how they can meet the needs of patients.
  • Achieve established sales targets and goals within the assigned market. This involves setting sales strategies, tracking performance metrics, and adjusting tactics as necessary to ensure success.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that client needs are met, and that the quality-of-service delivery is maintained.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.   Additional relevant degrees or credentials a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with or within IDD service agencies or provider networks.
  • Proven track record in roles business development, sales, partnerships, or business growth roles. This may include, but is not limited to, sales, talent recruiting, account management, distribution channel management, strategic partnerships, marketing, and business leadership roles with accountability for growth.
  • Experience in the home health industry is valuable but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary – ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others to exchange information.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel Requirements:

  • Role must be within the market (Indiana) they are supporting but can be remote within that geography.
  • Regular travel on a daily or weekly basis required, even in inclement weather
