Job Description
Team presentation and main goal:
Natixis CIB & AWM banking activities rely on a wide variety of market data (MD), including both financial and non-financial information. This data covers description and valuation of financial instruments and indices, real-time prices, fundamental analyses, ratings, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors among others. They are essential for our Corporate & Investment Banking & AWM teams, helping us stay competitive in a changing financial landscape. Natixis is seeking a strategic and results-driven Market Data Team Leader to guide our MD team with at least 10 years experience. This role is critical in providing functionally and financially adequate market data solutions, optimizing budgets, and ensuring efficient data usage across our CIB & AWM divisions. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in market data, financial oversight knowledge, and stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and enhance team performance.
Main tasks and goals:
1.Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a diverse Market Data team, comprising both experts with 20+ years of experience and junior staff managing the invoicing process. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and training of team members, particularly less experienced staff, to enhance overall team capabilities and performance.
2.Market Data Solutions & Customer Focus:
- Provide business lines with functionally and financially adequate market data solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Establish Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with end users of market data across various business lines, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
- C-Suite Engagement: Develop tailored presentations and reports that translate complex market data insights into strategic recommendations for C-suite executives, ensuring their decision-making is informed by accurate and relevant data.
- Maintain open communication with business lines regarding market data products, access conditions, and pricing, ensuring alignment with business needs.
3.Budget Management & Financial Oversight:
- Propose and implement cost savings and optimization initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.
- Monitor market data budgets and expenditures, ensuring accurate reporting and budget tracking, including the preparation of quarterly business reviews.
- Oversee the verification and processing of invoices, ensuring proper allocation within the Market Data Management (MDM) tool and timely management of renewals and expirations.
4.Supplier Management:
- Serve as the key point of contact for specific market data providers, managing the complete invoicing process and implementation of standard market data products.
- Control and validate market data invoices, ensuring accurate analytical allocation and production of reporting for supplier declarations.
- Guarantee the management, monitoring, and negotiation of specific contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
5.Performance Monitoring & Process Improvements
- Supervise performance indicators of the Market Data team, ensuring efficient workload organization and identifying opportunities for key process improvements.
- Collaborate with market data experts and user departments to conduct analyses aimed at optimizing market data usage, emphasizing efficiency and automation.
- Identify and implement external technology solutions, including ticketing systems, to enhance efficiency and quality mitigation across the team.
6.Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Facilitate regular communication with users and management to ensure alignment and collaboration on market data initiatives.
- Prepare presentation materials that clearly convey findings and recommendations, fostering strong relationships with vendors and various user profiles.
- Act as a liaison between market data users and C-suite executives, ensuring that user feedback is incorporated into strategic decision-making processes.
7.Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure proper governance of processes with international platforms, maintaining compliance with market regulations and internal policies.
- Liaise with compliance and surveillance teams to address any regulatory requirements pertaining to market data management.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance / Economy / Management or relevant area
- +10 years of experience in relevant area.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA and a good knowledge of Power BI
- Knowledge of MDM (mandatory).
- Fluent English (mandatory) and a good level of French (will be consider a plus).
- Good and structured communication (oral / written)
- Adaptability and curiosity
- Capacity to deal w/ stress and conflict management
- Team Player
- Taste for data processing and data accuracy
