Our Supply Team is growing, and we want you to be part of it! As a Market Associate, Sales Development Representative for Mexico and Central America & Caribbean), you will play a crucial role in the retention, growth, and optimization of host entrepreneurs and rising hosts in your assigned territory. You will focus on building strong relationships with these hosts, helping them optimize their listings, improve pricing strategies, and enhance their overall success on Airbnb.
The Difference You will Make:
As a Market Associate, you will be responsible for the retention and growth of long-tail Hosts in an assigned territory within North America. You will establish and nurture business relationships with emerging professional host accounts by suggesting and supporting strategic initiatives that drive their success on Airbnb. These initiatives will include supply optimization, pricing optimization, host recruitment, and platform education. In addition, as these Hosts successfully grow on the platform, it will be imperative that you help them maintain best-in-class hospitality standards for an excellent guest experience. Beyond one-to-one account management responsibilities, you’ll also support (Senior) Market Managers on your team to deliver one-to-many education programs, such as webinars and scaled e-mail communication. Ultimately, this team will be responsible for helping long-tail Hosts thrive on Airbnb.
A Typical Day:
- Build and manage partner relationships with emerging host accounts within assigned territory.
- We are looking for someone that is goals-obsessed, is inputs-driven, and is willing to take action (high volume of calls, meetings, etc.).
- Hold regular optimization and pricing and business reviews with partners.
- Secure availability with the right price over high compression dates.
- Develop strong and long lasting partnerships.
- Respond to and deliver exceptional service to hosts in a timely and efficient manner,
- Analyze data and utilize data-driven recommendations to identify and action on opportunities in your region to drive increase in sales.
- Maintain a baseline understanding of the technical integration of various software
Your Expertise:
- 2+ years of experience in new sales, account management and partner support.
- hospitality/travel industry experience (nice to have).
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Proven track record of being able to effectively work a book of business (account management).
- Hungry with a strong bias for action, and persistent in the face of adversity and objection.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person.
- Team player: highly motivated to share best practices and knowledge to help peers succeed.
- Proficient quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret and apply data throughout your day-to-day work.
- The ability to get things done with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines.
- Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy - being an Airbnb host is a plus.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally.
- Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, with a proven track record to execute in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Highly proficient in using CRM software, specifically in working with leads, opportunities and other core objects - Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Fluid English and Spanish is required
- Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient.
