Job Description
Market Access Associate Director will be responsible for all aspects of the pricing and reimbursement process in Mexico, including but not limited to independently leading and coordinating cross functional projects, project manager the preparation of reimbursement dossiers in cooperation with Distributor partner. Negotiation with payer, response to payer questions; price management and business cases for new launch approvals and/or price changes for Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:

This position will develop market access materials (Price and Reimbursement submission in Mexico, responses, price analysis) for Vertex medicines leading up to and during their launch.

Ensure optimized listing at National Compendium (Mexican General Health Council) for innovative Vertex products in any of Vertex’ disease areas of interest

Ensure listing at major Public Institutions (IMSS, IMSS-Bienestar, ISSSTE, PEMEX, SEDENA, SEMAR, SSA / INSAHE institutions, other) for Vertex products

Ensure reimbursement for Vertex therapies by local private insurance companies

Equip commercial team with locally relevant economic value messages. Drive internal and external trainings on HE value-proposition for Vertex therapies

Support proactive monitoring of health policy & reimbursement policy changes in Mexico (public and private)

This position will lead the development of solid business cases per country/product for obtaining internal senior leadership approval.

This position will create innovative offers and access programs. Prepare and lead payer negotiation in close collaboration with country commercial lead and market access distributors lead.

This position will ensure pricing compliance in assigned territory, manage country prices and analytics, and maintain updated Pricing Systems. In addition will be responsible for collecting local market insights, rules, and regulations.

The position will work closely with Vertex’s Commercial, finance, medical, legal, marketing and market access international teams, building and leveraging relationships with relevant stakeholders in line with Vertex’s approved and agreed business strategy.

Required Education Level
-
Masters or bachelor’s degree in a science/analytic field or healthcare professional.

Extensive experience within health economic arena.
Required Experience
-
Strong experience in launching rare disease portfolio leading Market Access hands on activities in Mexico.

Sound understanding of healthcare system, reimbursement system and P&R submissions in Mexico.

Excellent negotiation skills with Payors.

Fluent in English and Spanish.
Other Requirements
• Ability to travel up to 30% within Mexico and Internationally when required.
