Job Description
Market Access Director will report to GM, and lead the development and implementation of the Gilead market access strategy for new and in market products. Candidate by working in close collaboration with the global value & access, will develop the market access strategy, value proposition and plans for public authorities involved in the reimbursement process nationally. Candidate will play critical role in consolidating and providing relevant insights, expertise and contents to the development of the cross-functional go-to-market plan for products in close collaboration with core business functions (Medical, Marketing, Finance, Commercial, Public and Government affairs).
Candidate will be responsible for reimbursement submission/approval, will identify patient access opportunities and/or issues/barriers and develop access solutions to address them and create access for patients for Gilead innovations.
Specific Job Responsibilities

Leads and coordinates market access tasks; i.e. Pricing submissions, reimbursement dossier preparations & submissions, stakeholder management, value message delivery, price negotiations, health economics model adaptations, data development to support submissions

Fosters key relationships with payers and HTA bodies, developing innovative solutions which are win-wins for patients, the broader healthcare system and Gilead

Works cross functionally with global and local medical and commercial, government and public affairs functions to develop value propositions and messages tailored to multiple stakeholders including payers and policy makers.

Develops and executes market access strategies and evidence generation plans to meet HTA requirements aligned with country objectives

Participates in value & access initiatives/projects within region/global to represent the local organization and contribution.

Anticipates and shapes future dynamics in the external environment impacting market access and reimbursement, working closely with global teams to convey requirements for program development to satisfy HTA needs

Ensure full compliance within his/her responsibility area according to Gilead and local compliance guidelines
Skills and experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in medicine, pharmacy, economics, health economics or related discipline
-
At least 10+ years of experience in market access including pricing, reimbursement and access experience in Pharmaceutical /Biotech industry

Strong understanding of payer environment, including HTA, pricing and reimbursement, contracting and negotiation, and policy development

Related experience with a pharma company or multinational company or in government with extensive knowledge of government, access processes, and decision makers

Strong stakeholder management (external & internal) - ability to work comfortably and effectively with top level government officials across the political spectrum, association leaders (external) and senior leadership, lead teams, cross-functional & global partners (internal).

Ability to create strategy, translate strategy to implementation tactics, and influence the organization in streamlined execution of the strategy & tactics at all levels of the organization. (Medical, Commercial, Government Affairs, Public Affairs)

Strong analytical skills and learning agility.
