What You’ll Be Doing:
Overview: Evolent is looking for a Senior Director to lead strategic transactions and cash forecasting work in support of the company’s long-term growth and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in relevant roles and must have both a command of cash forecasting and substantial experience working on strategic transactions of all types. This role reports into the SVP of Finance and will work closely with our CFO and other executive leadership team members cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Transactions:
· Manage capital markets activities, including equity and debt financing, to support the company’s strategic growth initiatives and optimize the company’s capital structure.
· Establish and maintain relationships to monitor market intelligence (e.g., M&A landscape, capital markets, macro environment).
· Partner with FP&A and Strategic Finance functions on long-term corporate valuation models to inform executive decision-making around valuation considerations, supporting strategic options such as divestitures and M&A.
· Lead the evaluation, execution, and integration of any strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and capital markets deals.
· Conduct thorough financial due diligence and valuation analysis to support transaction decisions.
· Support other strategic finance projects based on company objectives.
Cash Forecasting / Treasury Management:
· Develop and maintain both short and long-term cash flow forecasts to ensure the organization meets financial objectives.
· Optimize the company’s capital structure across all potential sources of capital and provide financial modeling analyses to support executive team and Board decision making.
Qualifications:
· At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
· 8+ years of progressive experience in relevant roles, with a focus on strategic transactions.
· Relevant experience in financial services or direct experience in a similar role in another public corporation (ideally both).
· In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics (healthcare services experience is a plus).
· Extensive expertise in cash flow management, liquidity, long-term forecasting, and financial modeling.
· Strong understanding of capital structure and demonstrated ability to help the organization manage optimally.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $150,000-160,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
