Position Summary
CVS Health is seeking a tax professional with the ability to navigate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a large and complex organization. The Senior Tax Analyst at CVS Health plays a crucial role in the tax function, collaborating with various stakeholders across tax technology, compliance, and provision teams. This position focuses on federal and state tax return preparation and tax provision calculations for financial reporting, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations and reports to the Lead Director, Federal Compliance and Controversy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns/extension/estimated tax calculations for assigned subsidiaries including both Corporate and partnership entities.
- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 for assigned subsidiaries.
- Prepare income tax account reconciliations for assigned subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for tax calculations.
- Support ongoing projects and business initiatives and assist with special projects as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in corporate tax or in public accounting.
- Strong tax provision and compliance experience in corporate tax.
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad understanding and experience with corporate or partnership federal and state income tax.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, i.e., Excel spreadsheet.
- Experience with Corptax system is strong plus.
- Strong accounting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High-level of energy, enthusiasm and desire to grow your career.
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and tactfully, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work productively with a high degree of independence and with accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Experience with S4 HANA or similar ERP systems.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
