Job Summary
As a manager, you own executing projects according to The Pinnacle Way. You will develop and set clear expectations for your team, including project milestones, deliverables, QMPs, resources and forecasts. You manage the team’s performance and growth, as well as a healthy relationship with the customer.
Job Duties
- Create clear set of milestones with dates (hold, review, communication and deliverable)
- Hold regular and effective sprint plans, including required core/outside Pinnacle team members
- Own customer engagement; alignment on deliverables, regular meaningful communication, value sign-off
- Regular problem solving
- Own the development of quality management plans/project plans
- Deliver per the plan with <10% misses (quality misses specifically)
- Manage your team; assess, develop and correct team member performance
- Accurately forecast resource needs and assignments; work constructively with Resource Planning
- Technical Excellence/adherence
- Take action to address project issues or risks
- Day to day problem solving and coaching the team to do the same; facilitate problem solving with the customer to impact their performance and ability to achieve goals

Required Qualifications/Skills/Competencies
- 10+ years’ experience working in large industrial sites
- 5 years’ experience leading/supervising groups of people
- Expertise in Project Management Fundamentals
- Project strategy execution
- Professionalism, discipline, business acumen, exceptional meeting facilitation
- Root Cause Analysis
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal; active listening
- Creativity and perseverance to deal with uncertainty when plans fail

Preferred Qualifications/Software knowledge
- PMP Certification
- Experience in refineries or chemical plants
- Experience in PowerBI
- Experience in inspection, mechanical integrity and/or reliability services

- Microsoft Office Suite
Direct Reports
This position has supervisory responsibilities which include managing employee performance by goal setting, planning, providing feedback, coaching and developing, counselling, disciplining, and motivating.

Working Environment
- Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. Prepare site, materials, and tools. Loading, unloading, assembly and disassembly of materials, tools, and equipment. May work in office environment or in plant around machinery with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy. Working closely with others or working alone. Working at height, including drops below ground level. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation. May work in conjunction with customer representatives, inspectors, and other contractors.
Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, sit ,kneel, push ,stoop, crawl, twist, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs and ladders ,identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perceive depth, operate a motor vehicle and operate motor equipment.
