About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager, People & Culture Operations to lead and optimize HR operations, ensuring a seamless employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. This role will focus on driving operational excellence, improving process efficiencies, and enhancing HR service delivery through a centralized model. The ideal candidate will have a strong process-driven mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead and manage the HR Operations team to deliver high-quality HR services while ensuring compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and best practices.
  • Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess HR service effectiveness and optimize processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee data.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technology enhancements to improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Implement best-in-class workflows, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR operations and employee services.

Onboarding & Offboarding Excellence

  • Manage and enhance the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring a smooth transition for employees:
    • Pre-Onboarding: Background verification, medical tests, statutory compliance, and engagement touchpoints.
    • Post-Onboarding: Induction, HR policies, functional training, and first-month engagement.
    • Offboarding: Exit formalities, clearances, documentation, termination processing, and exit interviews.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including reconciliation of HRIS systems data and payroll inputs.
  • Manage and oversee the employee insurance portfolio, including monthly updates, claims monitoring, service level adherence, premium reconciliation, renewals, and benchmarking.
  • Maintain cost control mechanisms for vendor and contractor payments related to HR services.

HR Data Governance & Analytics

  • Oversee HR data governance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in HRIS systems.
  • Lead MIS reporting and analytics, including:
    • Organizational unit creation and maintenance.
    • Automated dashboard tracking.
    • Headcount monitoring and reporting.
  • Evaluate policy adherence, identify gaps, and implement control mechanisms to mitigate risks.

Employee Experience & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted escalation point for complex employee queries and concerns, providing effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and other stakeholders to align operations with business objectives.
  • Develop training programs to enhance the capabilities and service levels of HR operations teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or PG Diploma in Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR operations, with at least 5-6 years in a leadership role within a shared services or HR operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, HRIS systems, and labor law compliance.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on HR data, metrics, and continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.
