SUMMARY:
Advance – RI Clinical Translational Research (CTR) was established in 2016 through receipt of an IDeA-CTR Award from the National Institutes of General Medical Sciences. The Advance-CTR mission is to support clinical and translational researchers in Rhode Island through funding, research services, and professional development opportunities in order to fuel discoveries that address the health priorities of RI’s diverse communities.
The Manager of Finance Operations directs all financial components of the CTR parent grant award as well as all subawards, institutional commitment accounts, child accounts and supplemental grant applications and awards. This role will be supported by and provide supervision to Administrative & Financial Coordinator. This role oversees all matters pertaining to grants administration, both financial and administrative, and has financial oversight and administrative responsibility, in collaboration with the Director of the Administrative Core, for the CTR as a whole. This position provides high-level comprehensive pre- and post- award management, subcontract administration, and financial analysis. This position is the administrative liaison between the CTR, BMRA, OSP, collaborating institutions, sponsoring agencies and the Director of the Administrative Core. The incumbent has a broad scope of responsibilities and is knowledgeable of financial research administration.
This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 7/31/2026.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in accounting/financial/budgeting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required: Minimum of 1 year of managerial experience required.

Required: Experience with proposal preparation with federal and non-federal grants and using the InfoEd/Coeus grants management (or similar) system.

Preferred: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Health, Science, Engineering or Math field

Preferred: Familiarity with ERA Commons, NSF Fastlane, Research.gov and/or Grants.gov

Preferred: Higher-Education or non-profit work experience.
