About The Role:
As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the AWS and Azure infrastructure, ensuring efficient and effective operations across both platforms.
You will lead a dynamic team in building and supporting cloud infrastructure for our platform offering audit solutions. You will oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of critical business applications in non-production environments across AWS and Azure, ensuring robust and efficient operations.
Your role will be pivotal in influencing broader technology groups to adopt Cloud technologies, processes, and best practices.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to the cloud infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Drive team success by setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Manage change requests between development, staging, and production environments effectively.
Infrastructure Planning and Management:
- Design and implement appropriate environments for applications on AWS and Azure, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Engineer and manage suitable release management procedures, offering production support as necessary.
- Oversee the provisioning and configuration of hardware, services, and settings in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
Cloud Strategy and Best Practices:
- Influence broader technology groups in adopting cloud technologies, processes, and best practices for AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies that align with business objectives.
Process Improvement and Automation:
- Drive continuous improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation for optimal production environments.
- Research, develop, and implement innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks across both AWS and Azure platforms.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Review system and application logs, ensuring the completion of automated processes.
- Conduct ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Tier II support for incidents and requests, investigating and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Offer technical support and user support, including technical orientation and education activities to project teams and staff.
Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base and documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
About You:
You are a fit for this position if your background includes:
- Deep knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platform – storage/s3, Front door/Cloudfront, Bicep/CDK & Cloudformation, RDS, Opensearch, Active MQ, AWS EKS, Azzure AKS.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD, preferably on Github Actions and ArgoCD, and Software Release Management concepts
- Scripting knowledge, preferably in Python / Bash.
- Knowledge on building and deploying containers / Kubernetes.
- Experience with build and deploying dotnet core / java-based solutions,
- Strong understanding on API first strategy.
- Knowledge and some experience implementing testing strategy in a continuous deployment environment.
- Have setup monitoring tools and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Available for on-call support as needed (on rotation basis) to ensure business continuity.
- Ability to independently research and implement services on cloud platform and support the development teams as needed.
