Job Description:

In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you’ll do:

  • Enhance and lead the quality engineering team to ensure the teams deliver high quality, performant, accurate and reliable automation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the quality engineering members.
  • Supervise the development of Test Plans, Test cases, test procedures for testing and automation.
  • Lead in code reviews and ensure that code is high quality.
  • Apply expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies.
  • Manage activities of non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or managers
  • Act as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Plan, manage and monitor high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruit and support development of direct staff members.
  • Be an advocate for customers and product quality within the organization
  • Facilitate technical deep-dives and cross training to support teams
  • Provide overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.


What you need to bring:

  • Significant work experience as a quality engineering leader or similar position working across multiple stakeholder organizations
  • Strong foundation in designing, developing engineering products and services and delivering with highest quality
  • Solid experience in testing microservices and cloud systems, Kubernetes and aaS offerings.
  • Prior experience in product development and deployments; end to end ownership and accountability
  • Good experience in AWS services (EKS, EC2, Cloudfront, RDS, etc) and/or developing on other cloud providers Azure, GCP
  • Experience of scalable, enterprise grade aaS API platform. Strong understating of modern aaS APIs and event bases systems development and testing principles.
  • Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.
  • Demonstrated abilities to drive transformation across a business with exceptional skills in the management of change
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required, electrical or computer engineering preferred. May have advanced university degree.
  • Typically, 10 or more years of related work experience, including 3+ years of people management experience.
