Analyst, Management II

Strategic Data Systems is looking for a Management Analyst with DoD or Navy experience to support NUWCDIVNPT (Naval Undersea Warfare Center) Newport, for an upcoming contract award. This position includes supporting the Navy in financial management, enterprise resource planning, project-based financial inquiries, financial analysis, and forecasting.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.
- Define the nature and extent of problems. Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, cost performance, schedule or expenditures.
- Provide services supporting the development and refinement of Code 34 Departmental business processes, specifically in financial practices for all projects. This includes the support of and participation in LEAN events and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other events involving Code 34 business processes and improvements.
- Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.
- Develop solutions to problems. In preparing recommendations, understand the organization's nature, its relationship with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
- Prepare and solve mathematical models. Report findings and recommendations to the Government. Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common. For some projects, management analysts are retained to help implement the suggestions they have made
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in a business or technical field required.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience required; experience with budgeting, accounting applications and cost analysis in a government environment (Navy preferred).
- Demonstrated experience performing financial management using Department of Defense financial systems and tools, including Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Navy ERP
- Demonstrated proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail; effective at organizing, prioritizing and multi-tasking.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
