TIAA is seeking a Mainframe (IBM z/OS), Adabas/Db2 Administrator who will manage test data hosted on Adabas, Db2 and VSAM data stores for mainframe application testing. This role will use mainframe utilities to refresh data from production data store systems, perform data masking (scrambling) and restore to test data stores. This role will work closely with the business quality assurance (QA) team and developers to ensure the data meets their requirement in advance of testing. Additionally, this role will work with Data Base Administrator(s) as needed to maintain the stability and availability of the test data stores.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with the QA teams and developers to align test data requirements with the testing criteria.
- Analyze data requirements and ensure data integrity during the testing process.
- Collaborate on unit test plans and test cases to ensure the accuracy of source data.
- Perform refresh of test data from Adabas, Db2 and VSAM data stores.
- Scramble sensitive and confidential data before releasing for testing.
- Document/update processes, procedures and runbooks as required.
- Work with Data Base Administrator(s) to resolve database performance, capacity, and other database related issues.
- Perform standard administration of mainframe files like copying and transferring.
- Confirm data is appropriately scrambled and aligned with Cyber security standards.
- Ensure alignment with Change/Incident management processes and procedures.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting mainframe data platform on z/OS mainframe operating system. Basic knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with data refresh processes and masking techniques for data hosted on Adabas, VSAM and Db2
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of the Mainframe and its utilities
- Familiar with ITIL Change/Incident management best practices.
- Prior experience supporting quality assurance and development teams.
- Familiar with automation using scripts to schedule the jobs (i.e. Runstats, Image copy, Restore, Load/Unload, etc.).
- Knowledge of RACF and Db2.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of scrambling tools used for data masking such as Dataguise.

Base Pay Range: $94,500/yr. - $163,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
