Job Summary
The role of an Information Systems Specialist has limited breath but significant depth in a specific technology and/or methodology.
The Information Systems (IS) Specialist may act as liaison between Information Systems (IS) vendors and Nissan to ensure Objectives are met within a specified technical expertise. The IS Specialist comprehends the relationship between Nissan initiatives and strategies and their impact on development initiatives. The IS Specialist may develop an awareness regarding IS opportunities
that enable newer technologies to better support Nissan within a specified area of expertise. The IS Specialist participates in project process reviews and audits and may monitor the status of all IS development activities within the specified area of expertise. The IS Specialist promotes policies, procedures, and processes that contribute to the IS organization’s objectives. The IS Specialist may work with affiliated companies to conduct business and IS strategic planning activities within their area of expertise.
The IS Specialist may be engaged in the methodical investigation, definition, analysis and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use within relative to the specialist’s area of expertise. Specialist areas of expertise include communications, technical services, specific product and/or methodology expertise, engineering, operations, networks, and/or specialized applications.
Job Functions
Responsibilities:
- Day to Day tasks
- Ability to work with multiple business users on submitted incidents and working them to resolution keeping service levels maintained
- Monitor service health and mitigate issues that arise. Engaging other business units or vendors as required
- Review and complete submitted requests, incidents, and other support tasks
- Participate in project-based meetings as required
- Perform any other relevant tasks that are assigned
- Manage and Support Hybrid M365 Azure and M365 environments
- Work within the team to manage and support the Microsoft 365 environment
- Support 30,000+ users
- Support multiple countries within the region
Minimum Qualifications
Job Knowledge and Skill:
- Ability to manage incidents as they occur by working with multiple third-party vendors to ensure maintenance and support is carried out effectively among all parties.
- Qualified IS Specialist must acquire all the skills listed below: analytical, technical, managerial, and interpersonal.
- Analytical skills to understand the organization and its functions, and identify opportunities, as well as the ability to analyze problems, and find the root cause.
- Management skills to manage projects, resources, risk, and change.
- Interpersonal skills to work with end users as well as with other analysts, programmers, and other systems professionals in a culturally diverse environment.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills. The IS Specialist must have technical skills and the ability to understand technical systematic issues and communicate issues effectively to management and peers.
- Excellent communication skills that promote the establishment of partnerships with service providers
- Ability to implement approved actions and workarounds with vendors while minimizing risk.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in:
- Microsoft 365: Azure, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, etc.
- Managing and supporting Microsoft Intune deployments and policies
- Endpoint Management / Conditional Access Policies
- Hybrid Azure AD Joined and Intune Registered Device management and support
- Managing and supporting on-premise Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments
- Identity and access management
- Excellent communication ability across technical and non-technical users
- Ability to work with multiple technical and non-technical teams across the company
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Experience:
- 7 years of overall IS/IT experience with at least 5 years of hands-on supporting hybrid environments
- 5 years' experience in working with multi-vendor technology teams
- Azure/M365 experience is required
- In depth knowledge of the utilization of PowerShell is a plus
- Familiarity with various programming / scripting languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent. Advanced technical degree a plus
Computer Skills:
- Possess in-depth knowledge in area of applied specialty and broad knowledge of competing technologies and/or methodologies.
