M365 Principal Systems Engineer - RemoteJob Description
We are currently looking for a M365 Principal Systems Engineer that will focus on Microsoft AI capabilities, enabling Copilot and Microsoft Power Platform Applications.
The Systems Engineer Principal IT is responsible for being an expert in a specified technology stack, apply knowledge to the enterprise, and work to influence technical direction outside business and ISD. This position is responsible for collaborating with architects, developers, and engineers to develop overall solutions, including options analysis and trade-offs that properly balance both IT and business constraints. This position is also responsible for serving as a thought leader to guide people, processes, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Represent broad expertise in domain team in technical design and estimating sessions with internal and external IT customers
- Provide support for and create logical and physical design
- Analyze and recommend changes to improve efficiency, lower costs, and enhance quality of business applications
- Establish design patterns used within domain
- Serve as thought leader and final decision maker in driving teams to conclusions regarding technical solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience with specific technology relevant to team
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing
- 8 years of combined experience with Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft AI technologies and Microsoft Power Platform Applications.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

- Excellent written, technical, and verbal communication skills
- Ability and drive to excel in a growing, changing, and collaborative environment
- Established presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audience
- Ability to transition abstract concepts into technical deployment designs
- Ability to develop decision criteria and develop unbiased technology comparisons
- Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills
- Proven experience with ongoing education in regards to technology trends within domain relevant to team
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Engineering
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
- Broad experience in the infrastructure domain working with IT Architecture
- Understanding of security implications of domain
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime’s core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
- Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
- Reports to a Director in IT
Potential pay for this position ranges from $108,000.00 - $184,000.00 based on experience and skills.
