About the Role
This position in our Monterrey Center of Excellence supports shipment planning and optimization processes for operations in the US and Canada.
This role may require working on Mexican holidays and taking US holidays as days off. We will cover this during the interview process.
In this role, you’ll be a part of a working group of 10-20 people. Your group will collaborate with many other groups, on- and off-site, to provide excellent service to our customers and carriers. You will interact with and receive coaching from leaders in multiple parts of the organization.
What the Candidate Will Do
People in this role are experts in customer freight flows. They understand the intricacies of facilities, products, and the relationships between them to make the best decisions to route and recover freight.

- Optimize and route freight
- Use Uber Freight’s tools to make sure customer shipments move in accordance with their unique service and cost needs
- Make decisions on how to move loads when standard capacity is not available, or a service provider has an issue
- Exceed cost savings and/or shipment routing guide adherence targets
- Exercise empathy and understanding: Understand carrier and customer perspectives and unique challenges and treat them with dignity and respect as you resolve their issues; maintain cooperative and professional work relationships with all stakeholders
- Proactively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (plants, cross-docks, carriers, customer service teams, etc.)
- Participate in standing report-outs and network information sharing sessions to adjust freight routing decisions based on current needs and priorities
- Bring people together to resolve load issues and support recovery decisions
- Share opportunities for operational improvements that could improve service or reduce cost
- Prioritize: Make decisions about which issues to resolve next based on level of urgency
- Evolve: Adapt with and to a team that continuously changes
