Logistics Operative

About the Role 

We are looking for a Logistics Operative to join our Logistics Team, based in Oxford (Littlemore). This role is crucial in supporting the smooth running of operations at Refeyn's manufacturing facilities. 

Refeyn offers a range of products, from large crate-shipped instruments to small courier-shipped consumables. In this role, you will be responsible for general warehouse duties, including goods-inward, goods-outward, stock put away, stock picking, packing, and operating the necessary equipment to complete these tasks.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in manual work and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your co-workers, and everyone in the surrounding area is essential.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Process goods inwards
  • Unpack all packages to count contents and to locate all paperwork
  • Process in company warehouse management system (WMS)
  • Put away all stock
• Process goods outwards
  • Pick and pack components for shipment according to existing SOP/WI’s to include small package consumables and large package scientific instruments
  • Prepare boxes, crates, and flight cases for shipments including placing proper documentation inside the containers and placing proper documentation on the outside of the containers
• Transporting instruments and associated components around the manufacturing site, to and from the loading bay, and between facilities, using pallet trucks, power pallet lifter, lifting gear etc. where required
• Scanning and storing accurate paperwork for all shipments as per SOP’s and WI’s
• Interacting with Netsuite ERP system to transact shipments on time and accurately
• Picking items for warehouse work orders for manufacture
• Participating in the monthly/quarterly/annual stock counts
• Tracking global shipments and reporting on POD’s and issues
• Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with any Ad hoc tasks needed
• Promoting a clean working environment, helping to keep the manufacturing space safe, clean and tidy

Job Related Skills and Experience

Qualifications

Manual handing and use of lifting equipment qualifications would be advantageous

Or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Experience (please specify basic, advanced or expert)

• Manual handing
• Health & Safety requirements related to manufacturing environments
• Appropriate use of PPE
• Inventory management systems

Required

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Use of computer to include Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams)
• Following written Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
• Good time keeping and ability to work independently

Desired

• Experience with use of a power lifter and pallet truck
• Previous experience with warehouse management systems (Netsuite preferred)
• Experience with banding and strapping machines
• Lean techniques and 5S techniques preferred
• Experience in a high value, low volume scientific manufacturing/warehouse environment

• We anticipate a salary between £22,000 and £26,000 for this role, depending on the candidate’s experience.
