The Gig:
Learn & Grow is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented LMS Administrator to oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of our shipboard and shoreside Learning Management Systems (LMS). This role will be responsible for managing relationships with internal teams and external LMS partners, ensuring system functionality aligns with training needs, and driving system enhancements that support seamless learning experiences across the fleet and shoreside teams.
What You'll Be Up To:

Serve as the primary administrator for the LMS platforms, managing configurations, course uploads, assignments, automation rules, and learning matrix alignment.

Own the creation, maintenance, and optimization of training programs to ensure accurate course assignments, compliance, and renewal tracking.

Liaise with LMS vendors, internal Learn & Growth (L&G) team members, and cross-functional partners to address system needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, acting as the liaison between management, MXP, and LMS providers.

Create, track, and follow up on system tickets to ensure timely resolution of bugs and system enhancements.

Conduct regular audits and backend clean-ups to maintain accurate data, improve user experience, and optimize system performance.

Develop and implement test cases for LMS updates, enhancements, and new releases, outlining key parameters and pass/fail scenarios.

Gather feedback from L&G Specialists and other stakeholders to recommend future enhancements and improvements to content management, workflows, and system functionality.

Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to define logic and expected outcomes for new LMS features and enhancements.

Ensure LMS compliance with relevant regulations, data privacy standards, and security requirements.

Support the broader HR systems infrastructure, including system updates, software integrations, and performance optimizations.
SuperPowers Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-
A minimum of 3 years of experience in LMS administration, preferably within a corporate or maritime environment or equivalent business analyst experience

Familiarity with HR systems, integrations, and learning technologies, experience with Workday Core HCM, Workday Learning, Workday Talent, Performance Management, and/or MarineXchange a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and ability to work independently in an innovative and fast-paced environment

Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support users at all levels of technical proficiency

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set appropriate timelines, clarify expectations, and utilize effective processes/approaches to ensure work is delivered with excellence promptly
