Help us tune performance and ensure the high availability of infrastructure. Join us in this role you will be responsible for the management and operations of our globally distributed IT Data centers and related Linux Server environment.
What will you cover?
- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain database systems on Linux environments, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, and CentOS. Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases by implementing best practices and monitoring tools.
- Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance issues through optimization, tuning, and regular system analysis. Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database schema.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and test disaster recovery plans for critical databases.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies and access controls for databases. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to database management.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Establish and maintain proactive monitoring for databases to identify and address issues promptly. Configure alerting systems to notify relevant teams of potential problems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Train and mentor junior team members on best practices and procedures.
What do we expect from you?
- Proven experience as a Linux Database Administrator with a focus on Ubuntu, Red Hat, and CentOS.
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and SQL.
- Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of database security best practices. Familiarity with backup and recovery processes and disaster recovery planning.
- Preferred qualifications with : MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL or in scripting ( Python, Shell )
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
The monthly salary starts from 3.500 EUR gross/month. The final compensation may go above, depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
