In this role you will make an impact on our business by creating value and supporting decision making as you manage the functional data science capability through the application of mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling or machine-learning techniques to analyze data and generate insights. You will have the responsibility to build the data science roadmap for the business.
* This role will be 100% remote based.
How you will contribute• Manage the introduction and use of analytics to meet business requirements, ensuring consistency across all user groups. Also, you will establish and manage functional analytics methods, techniques, and capabilities to enable the function to analyze data, generate insights, create value, and drive decision making while you measure the progress of initiatives and market successes to the organization.• Assess the business problems to be solved and what internal or external data sources to use or acquire.• Identify and establish the veracity of the external sources of information that are relevant to the operational needs of the enterprise.• Define business-oriented goals for initiative(s) and explain the initiative(s) to business managers.• Apply your expertise in analysis of data with high volumes, velocities, and variety (numbers, symbols, text, sound, and image). In addition, you will develop forward-looking, predictive, real-time, model-based insights to create value and drive effective decision making.• Understand the identification, validation and exploitation of internal and external data sets generated from a diverse range of functional processes and in general you will be an expert in functional data and data sets.• Recruit talent and build teams with the right mix of skills to staff projects.
What you will bring

You will bring experience and knowledge in:• Working experience in a quantitative discipline and data science.• Strong quantitative background in statistics and linear algebra as well as programming knowledge.• Knowledgeable in classification techniques, collaborative filtering, association rules, and heuristics approaches.• Understanding of advanced analytics platforms/tools such as R/SAS, Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark, and familiarity querying databases.• Familiarity generating dashboards and manipulating data visualization software KPIs/dimensions.• Interfacing with high-level stakeholders (SVPs and more).
Require Experience:
- 8+ years of experience.
- Certifications any of SAS Base, SAS VF, SAS Visual Statistics, etc.
- Strong Applied Knowledge of analytical techniques in statistical modelling, machine learning with exposure to forecasting domain especially driver-based forecasting.
- Experience on working with FMCG, Food & Beverages, Retail, or similar industry data with understanding the business process with be advantage.
- Should be able to articulate data science outcome into business understandable language.
- Fluent English, other European languages would be an advantage.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred in areas such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Business Analytics.
Travel:
- Travel up to 30%
The anticipated base salary range for this position is (USD 137,300.00-188,825.00); the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
