Summary
In our agile development team, we are looking for a Linux Automation Engineer who will be able to take care of our internal CI and QA automation infrastructure.
The team is responsible for developing endpoint antivirus and security solutions on the Linux platform, which are targeted at customers ranging from small-sized companies to large enterprises.
Job description
The Linux Automation Engineer’s job will be to improve and maintain the automated systems used by our Software Engineers and Agile Testing Engineers.
Main responsibilities

Collaborate with Software Engineers and Agile Testing Engineers, both within and outside the team, to design, implement, and maintain internal systems that facilitate continuous integration and testing.

Help expand our existing infrastructure by broadening the set of code and runtime analysis tools executed on our source code to improve the feedback that developers receive from automated builds and tests.

Optimize our internal systems to improve their reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

Support our QA team, allowing them to run a larger number of tests on a richer set of environments.

Work within an agile team, participating in team activities such as daily stand-ups, planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements
Technical skills
-
3+ years of experience with administration of Linux systems.

Experience with various Linux distributions: Red-Hat, Ubuntu, Debian.

Experience with virtualization platforms.

Experience with version control systems (git).

Knowledge of scripting in Bash and/or Python.
Nice to have skills

Experience with CI/CD tools and configuration management software.

Experience with container-based solutions.

Experience with compilation of open-source software on Linux platform.
Soft skills

Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn and improve.

Desire to improve things, even if they seem to be "good enough".
Language skills
English

Ability to understand technical documentation.

Ability to write internal documentation in English.
Basic wage component (brutto): from 2500 EUR
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
