As we expand across the Americas, we are building our Learning & Development (L&D) function from the ground up. We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to design, implement, and scale a best-in-class training and development framework, shaping the growth of our workforce and company culture.

Role Overview:

This is a foundational role in JD Logistics’ Americas team, responsible for creating and leading our first-ever Learning & Development function. You will build, implement, and continuously improve training programs, leadership development, and workforce capability initiatives across the region. Your work will directly impact employee growth, operational excellence, and company culture, setting the stage for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:Building the Learning & Development Function from the Ground Up:

  • Design and implement JD Logistics’ first-ever training and development strategy, aligning it with business goals.
  • Establish scalable processes, tools, and frameworks to standardize training programs across the Americas.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track learning impact and ensure continuous improvement.

Training Strategy & Execution:

  • Identify critical skill gaps and create training programs that enhance employee performance and leadership capabilities.
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs to accelerate new hire success.
  • Roll out functional, technical, and leadership training programs tailored to regional and role-specific needs.
  • Introduce and manage a Learning Management System (LMS) to track and scale training efforts.

Company Culture & Employee Engagement:

  • Embed JD Logistics' culture and values into all training and development initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
  • Work with HR and senior leadership to create programs that strengthen internal mobility and talent development.

Data-Driven Learning & Continuous Improvement:

  • Use data and employee feedback to assess training effectiveness and optimize learning initiatives.
  • Work closely with HR and operations teams to analyze workforce development needs and refine training programs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing innovative L&D solutions to JD Logistics.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Partner with senior leaders, HR, and operations teams to ensure training programs align with business needs.
  • Collaborate with external training vendors and industry experts to bring in best-in-class learning resources.
  • Build and eventually lead a small L&D team as the function scales.

Key Qualifications:Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Development.
  • Strong background in designing and launching training programs from scratch.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industries is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and scale training programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced project management and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in evaluating training effectiveness and applying data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms, HR software, and digital learning tools.
  • Strong knowledge of employee engagement strategies and company culture development.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Learning & Development, HR, or Leadership (e.g., ATD, SHRM, CPTM) are a plus.
