As a Learn Platform Sales Specialist at Instructure, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and growth of our Learn platform in the K12 marketplace. Your expertise in the education technology space, combined with your ability to build and nurture client relationships, will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Execution: Manage and execute a full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and onboarding clients, with a primary focus on the Learn platform.
- Client Consultations: Engage with K-12 institutions and other potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions leveraging Learn Platform.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of Learn Platform, and how it meets the unique needs of educational institutions and organizations.
- Demonstrations & Presentations: Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the features, benefits, and value proposition of the Learn platform.
- Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges to effectively position Learn Platform.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers in educational institutions, businesses, and organizations.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to create and execute effective sales strategies and tactics for the Learn Platform.
- Pipeline Management: Effectively manage and prioritize a sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and maximizing opportunities.
- Reporting & Metrics: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client feedback in Salesforce and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in sales or business development within the edtech industry.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a full sales cycle.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the challenges and needs of K-12 education institutions.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to articulate the technical features and benefits of Learn Platform, understanding its integration with other systems and workflows.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to C-suite executives and other senior decision-makers.
- Relationship Management: Skilled in building rapport and maintaining long-term professional relationships.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce to track activities, manage opportunities, and report on sales progress.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, or related field preferred.
