Who we are looking for: We are seeking a motivated and experienced LEAN Process Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing and streamlining manufacturing processes within the Body in White department, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and excellence in our new vehicle's production.

 Central Midwest location in a highly desirable mid-size community. Must be willing to relocate to Slate manufacturing plant location. This position is not in Troy, MI/Metro Detroit

What you get to do:

  • Safety above all to protect our team members, partners and customers.
  • Lead all LEAN Processes and activities in our Manufacturing Facility to including training, implementing, etc
  • Work closely with HR to facilitate all training and process associated with LEAN activites
  • Conduct time and motion studies to analyze and optimize production processes, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design and implement production layouts, workflow processes, and assembly lines to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement in quality, throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Work closely with the product engineering team to integrate new technologies and automation solutions for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source equipment, tools, and materials that align with process optimization goals.
  • Provide support for capacity planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.

 

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer or similar role with LEAN focus in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on automotive industry processes.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, workflow optimization, and assembly line design.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software for layout design and process simulation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality in process optimization.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience utilizing and leading LEAN Processes in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
