The Role: Lead QA Engineer

The Team: iLEVEL private markets is part of the larger MI Enterprise Solutions technology team, composed of over 50+ test engineers operating out of the USA (United States of America), Europe, and India. All team members share a passion for technology and solving complex technical problems with focus on quality and high performance.

The Impact: iLEVEL is a key application of the Enterprise Solutions toolset set built with cloud native technologies (AWS), responsive React front ends and C# microservices to collect, calculate at high capacity and visualize private market investments. These components are distributed through a modern, fully automated CI/CD pipeline to serve a high availability toolset to customers around the globe. You will be contributing to the growth of the application and organization.

What’s in it for you: S&P Global is seeking experienced testing professionals to join its iLevel team. This position is a hands-on test build /execution role. It is a highly technical position and will require strong knowledge of automation and more specifically testing of microservices based architectures. We are looking for individuals that can lead, provide thought leadership, work in an agile manner and are passionate about technology.

Responsibilities:

• Be a self-starter; operate independently as part of an agile team, advocate for software testing best practices.
• Develop, execute, and improve application test suites based on software requirements, technical specifications, and end user’s workflows.
• Design and perform hands on test automation solutions and scripts using Postman / Selenium, and other technologies determined to best suit our needs.
• Test and respond to Software Quality with related groups such as Development, Database, Integration, and Customer Support
• Manage, maintain QA and UAT environments along with build and deployments, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning.
• Keep abreast in understanding business domain and customer needs to constantly perform gap analysis and remediation in application test coverage.

What We’re Looking For:

Your expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in complete software testing activities.
• Hands on experience with Object oriented language like C# or Java.
• Hands on experience working with testing frameworks, Selenium web driver, Cucumber and/or equivalent specifically for Web applications.
• Hands on experience with API / Web Services testing and Framework is a must.
• Experience in SQL a must. Knowledge of PL/SQL, No SQL DB, Linux/UNIX, Jenkins preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
• Demonstrated skills to work in cross functional teams, and proactively resolves issues and escalate appropriately.
• Strong test automation development skills ensuring applications are built and delivered with quality unit and integration tests.
• Experience in securely integrating with REST API’s and GraphQL.
• Demonstrable experience in producing accessible applications meeting the highest accessibility standards

Bonus if you also have

• Cloud based platforms, especially AWS
• Knowledge of microservices
• Experience in configuring application build scripts for development and production using node, npm, webpack/rollup
• Experience of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience of working in an Agile Development environment and maintaining high standards through code reviews.
• Software design fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design and performance analysis.
