As a Senior QBO Accountant you will:

  • Organize and maintain company accounts, ensuring alignment with US accounting standards and business objectives in QBO, including monthly reconciliations and 1099 preparation;
  • Develop and uphold financial policies and procedures, ensuring best practices;
  • Support timely month-end and year-end closing processes;
  • Oversee payroll processing and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and various reports in QBO for management review;
  • Manage document workflows within the accounting department, promoting efficiency and organization;
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of accounting processes;
  • Assist with audits, including preparing documentation and collaborating with auditors as needed;
  • Provide financial insights and support to company management and departments to aid in decision-making.
  • Support and mentor a team of 2 QBO Accountants, fostering a collaborative environment and offering guidance on day-to-day tasks;
  • Assist in overseeing accounting operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency;

You will definitely be successful in this role if you:

  • Possess a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
  • Have 4+ years of practical experience as an accountant, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting practices;
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Know QuickBooks Online an advanced user, with a comprehensive understanding of its features and functionalities;
  • Are proficient in English (B2), particularly in the context of bookkeeping documentation and written correspondence with customers and vendors, and Fluent in Ukrainian;
  • Convey effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration with clients, team members, and other managers;
  • Have keen attention to detail for accurate and error-free data entry;
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills to systematically manage and maintain financial records.
