We are looking for a Lead, PMO to join Element Fleet Management.   As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Lead, PMO, you will be responsible for overseeing the project management processes, standards, and ensuring that projects align with the overall goals of the business. The PMO lead manages and guides projects managers, sets best practices, and ensures the successful delivery of projects by ensuring consistency and adherence to methodologies and frameworks like Agile and Waterfall.

A Day in the Life   

  • Portfolio Reporting & Governance: Oversee project status reporting and maintain project governance standards. Monitor and support the projects to follow established governance frameworks and compliance standards. Define project governance and communication cadence. Establish project roles and responsibilities along with stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Resource Management: Prioritize and allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects, balancing the needs of individual projects with overall portfolio goals.
  • Support planning of enterprise resources, tracking and providing a view on resource allocation and capacity plan.
  • Highlight potential risk on resourcing with regards to specific roles and provide a mitigation plan.
  • Financial & Health Reporting: Develop, manage, and report on portfolio budget. Monitor and report on progress of portfolio to senior management. Present and review portfolio health status, progress, risk, issues, and highlight decisions required. Provide insights into the spending patterns and highlight potential future state trends that lead to efficient prioritization and utilization of funds. 
  • Process Improvement: Develop and continuously assess project management processes, best practices and tools. Identify and implement changes that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the project portfolio. Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project delivery and strategic alignment.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to project managers and team members on best practices and templates. Effectively manage the change while supporting the adoption and effective use of new project management processes, tools and software across the organization.

Requirements 

  • Post secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management of Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, including experience in portfolio management
  • Proven track record in prioritizing and delivering projects that align with organizational strategy and deliver high value
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or similar certifications is highly desirable
  • Certification in portfolio management (e.g., MoP) is highly desirable

Knowledge & Competencies

  • Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders, particularly in aligning project goals with organizational strategy
  • Embodies the following skills: Leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, team management, time management, budget management, negotiation skills, and working through ambiguity

The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
