The Opportunity:
The Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps program is seeking a Oracle Application Database Administrator Lead to be part of a team that improves Marine Corps combat effectiveness by continuing to provide cutting-edge business information. GCSS-MC utilizes Oracle R12 E-Business Suite (EBS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Oracle 19c Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications to provide functions that include asset visibility, supply, maintenance, readiness, task organization, repairs, request tracking, and financial information.
Responsibilities:
The Oracle Application Database Administrator Lead candidate will support and lead operation and maintenance activities of Oracle ERP Application and Databases in DOD environment.
Qualifications:
Required
- 10+ years of Application DBA experience, with at least 7 years of large-scale Oracle ERP sustainment experience.
- Must have experience with Oracle EBS R11 and R12.2.x
- Ability to lead a team of Oracle DBAs and collaborate effectively with system administrators, network engineers, and application developers.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP architecture, including core components like Financials, Procurement, and Manufacturing modules.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues specific to Oracle ERP.
- Expertise in Oracle Database administration (Oracle 12c/18c/19c or later). Experience with the installation and support of Oracle RAC, Exadata,
- Performance tuning of Oracle databases and applications (query optimization, indexing, memory management, and resource allocation
- Expertise in Oracle backup and recovery techniques using RMAN.
- Experience in applying patches and upgrades to the Oracle Database and Oracle ERP modules.
- Experience supporting critical production systems in 24/7 environments.
- Experience with Oracle security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and auditing.
- Ability to implement and monitor database security policies to protect sensitive government data.
- Strong experience in shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, and automation of routine tasks (e.g., monitoring, backups, performance tuning).
- Experience in leading root-cause analysis for critical production issues and providing timely resolutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience in documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and incident reports.
- Experience using WebLogic and Oracle OEM to manage and monitor environments.
- Experience in upgrading Oracle databases.
- Working knowledge of maintaining DoD security standards and rules, including those related to databases (e.g., Oracle CPU patching, access management, direct grants, database links, etc.).
- Experience with security monitoring, management, and testing, including IAVAs, patches, STIGs, etc.
- Must have experience in designing and implementing single sign-on architecture for various supporting applications such as SOA and OBIEE, using available tools like OAM/OID.
- Relevant certifications, including Security+ and any Oracle certifications related to the above activities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen either having or be eligible to receive Top Secret clearance or be cleared for a T5 background investigation.
Desired
- Knowledge of ITIL practices for change management and incident response.
- Oracle DBA certification (Oracle Certified Professional or higher) is a plus.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$95,500-$210,100
