KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
The position holder is responsible for managing a team of Logistics Coordinators that oversee the logistics execution of several high voltage cable projects. He/she is managing the interfaces between production, warehouses/distribution centers, transport, and construction sites, taking into account customer requirements and the use of subcontractors. As a lead logistics coordinator, they also take on a leadership role within the logistics team, ensuring that strategies for process optimization are implemented and further developed. The Lead Logistics Coordinator is managing a team of Logistics Coordinators that oversee the logistics execution of several high voltage cable projects.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning and monitoring transportation and delivery tasks to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
- Coordination of storage and delivery activities by monitoring warehouse schedules and delivery times.
- Optimization of transport flows regarding routes and loads.
- Ensuring correct implementation of transport permits and necessary transport documentation, e.g., by supporting factory traffic.
- Coordination of the return of empty cable drums in collaboration with plant logistics.
- Optimization of planning and tracking concepts.
- Responsibility for logistics key figures towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing and developing the logistics team to improve efficiency and performance.
- Developing and implementing strategies for continuous process improvement in logistics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in business administration or engineering with a focus on logistics, as well as several years of professional experience and acquired market knowledge.
- Proven experience in team leadership and managing logistics processes.
- German and English skills: C1 or higher.
- Proactive and forward-thinking approach, economic understanding.
- Customer-oriented demeanor with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Resilience under stress, conflict resolution skills.
- Negotiation skills as well as perseverance and assertiveness.
