About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have impact across the enterprise with broad impact
- Act as key participant in large-scale planning
- Review and analyze complex digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area
- Influence digital strategy for the business line requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Make decisions in digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area requiring strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements
- Lead a broad team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Potentially lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
- 5+ years of overall experience predominantly in Project and Product Management
- 5+ years of experience with Agile methodology and Scrum framework experience with at least 5+ of those years operating as a Product Owner. Hands-on experience with Agile practices and frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and workflow and collaboration tools, such as Confluence, Jira and Jira Align.
- Experience in product management/ development, program management, strategy, marketing and/or related position in a consumer-oriented, technology-dependent environment in financial services or related industries
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to synthesize data, to form a story and align information to contrast or compare to industry perspective and historical business trends
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organization level, where flexibility collaboration and adaptability are important
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Creates and maintains project / systems documentation and proactively monitor & manage project schedules and deliverables.
- Ability to manage large-scale initiatives and effectively partner with stakeholders across business and technical teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead.
Job Expectations:
- Accountable to articulate product vision, OKRs, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish product roadmaps, goals, and provide direction for teams to design/develop/ deliver technology and processes for updating/upgrading technologies/ vendor relationships, or for an entire domain
- Works with leaders, stakeholders, SMEs, scrum masters, project managers and delivery team to ensure success against stated customer business value
- Drives requirements, incorporating product expertise and industry/ competitor opportunities
- Adjusts planning in situations that may include financial, control, or process roadblocks
- Inspects pre-release progress, recommends changes, and ensures timelines are met
- Ensures cross-functional dependencies are articulated, managed, and addressed by all constituents
- Develops/ monitors key performance indicators, identifies improvement opportunities, and ensures all regulatory and policy compliance
- Partner with Product Manager and Project team to define business requirements and solutions to meet objectives. Ensure requirements are within our business standards and guidelines and align to our business strategy and objectives
- Communicate, collaborate, and negotiate with key stakeholders (value stream leaders, business groups and control groups)
- Manage, groom, and prioritize the scrum’s backlog and work with the team to plan stories for upcoming sprints
- Be accountable for scrum team deliverables and KPIs. Monitor and measure progress on user story delivery and sprint team velocity
- Review metrics to measure value and identify opportunities for improvement
- Effectively manage risks associated with your product and scrum team, including compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and adherence to internal Wells Fargo policies, procedures and controls
- Look at industry trends and banker/customer feedback to brainstorm on features / dependencies
- Obtain appropriate buy-in on difficult decisions and solve complex issues, especially when there isn’t agreement amongst stakeholders, knowing how to negotiate and when to escalate to his/her leaders
- Work with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues. Clarify ambiguities and customer experience based on business requirements and Product objectives.
